Reacher
is approached by a Secret Service agent who makes a highly unusual
request. "I want to hire you to assassinate the Vice President of the
United States," she says. She's the newly appointed head of the VP’s
security detail and wants Reacher to try and penetrate her team’s shield,
testing its efficacy against a genuine attack. Reacher has the skills and
the stealth, and he’s totally anonymous - how better to check security?
What she doesn't tell Reacher is that a very determined and deadly team
of assassins already has the VP in its sights. These men are skilled
killers, but they've overlooked one key element - the presence of the
equally lethal Reacher. (Source: Publisher)

"I love this series featuring
Jack Reacher, the eccentric, solitary investigator who takes only work
that means something to him personally. [It's] Irresistible."
The Globe & Mail (Toronto)
"If you haven’t been reading
Lee Child then you have my sympathy. You’re missing one of the most
intriguing characters in suspense fiction. This year’s release, Without
Fail is his best yet. Jack Reacher is an action hero for the 21st
century. Move over Lucas Davenport and Harry Bosch. Reacher has all their
smarts with no emotional baggage other than wanderlust. If forced to pick
my current favorite thriller author I wouldn’ t even hesitate ... without
fail, it’s Lee Child."
TheMysteryReader.com
"Child's plot is ingenious,
his characters are first-rate, and his writing is fine indeed. I don't
often shed tears over fictional folk, but he makes the unexpected death
of one character genuinely moving. And his lyrical description of a
Wyoming sunrise, too long to quote here, reflects his love of his adopted
country. This is a superior series."

The
ultimate loner. An elite ex-military cop who left the service years ago,
he's moved from place to place ... without family ... without possessions
... without commitments. And without fear. Which is good, because trouble
- big, violent, complicated trouble - finds Reacher wherever he goes. And
when trouble finds him, Reacher does not quit, not once, not ever. But
some unfinished business has now found Reacher. And Reacher is a man who
hates unfinished business. Ten years ago, a key investigation went sour
and Francis Xavier Quinn got away with murder. Now a chance encounter
outside Boston's Symphony Hall brings it all back. Now Reacher sees his
one last shot. Some would call it vengeance. Some would call it
redemption. Reacher would call it justice. (Source: Publisher)
"Very tense...real urgency...
a scrupulously structured thriller...a thrilling and reputable read." Literary
Review
"Not only a great addition to
the Jack Reacher novels but a superb book in its own right...dazzling...
will grip readers from the first page and will further cement Lee Child's
reputation as a world-class thriller writer...This is everything a
thriller should be." Crime Time
"The seventh novel in the
best-selling Jack Reacher series. Persuader is another gripping
thriller." OK! Magazine
"With a huge body count,
Persuader is ballsy, dynamic and not for the faint-hearted."

New
Year's Day, 1990. The Berlin Wall is coming down. The Cold War is ending.
Soon America won't have any enemies left. The Army won't have anybody to
fight. Things are going to change. Jack Reacher is the Military Police
duty officer on a base in North Carolina when he takes a call reporting a
dead soldier in a hot-sheets motel. Reacher tells the local cops to
handle it - heart attacks happen all the time. But why is Reacher in
North Carolina, instead of Panama, where the action is? Then the dead man
turns out to have been a two-star general who should have been in Europe.
And when Reacher goes to the general's house to break the news, he finds
another corpse: the general's wife. What is he dealing with here? The
last echoes of the old world... or the first shocks of the new? (Source: Publisher)
